Ok, so this is my first post on my first blog. I’m going to do this anonomously for the moment until I decide if I like it or not. (Which obviously means Gypsy isn’t my real name. It’s more of a family thing.) But I will share a little about myself.

I’m in the military and live in Southern California. I’m married to a military man and we have a cat. And some sort of plant. I’m not really sure what it’s called, but I know I always forget to water it. This is why we don’t have kids.

My husband and I are both in public affairs. I write for the post newspaper and he did as well until he got deployment orders. He left on Monday for a month of training and will ship to Iraq in September. I guess that’s why I started this. I hope it will help keep me busy while he’s away and give me an outlet for my thoughts. This is the first time I’ve had to deal with a deployment, though I’m sure it won’t be my last.

I’m in my mid-twenties, love to shop and go to the movies and travel. I hope people find this, read it and enjoy; but in the end I’m not doing this for other people but for myself. If someone else can learn anything or find something to take with them from reading this blog, then that’s wonderful.
