Happy Valentine’s Day
Posted by Gypsy on Feb 14, 2006
I hope everyone is having a wonderful Valentine’s Day with the person they love. I will be spending it at work and then going home to eat Ramen, but it’s ok. Jeremy and I can celebrate when he gets home. He did send me very beautiful flowers which I received over the weekend, so at least he didn’t forget.

Of course, we all know that while Valentine’s Day is a real holiday, it’s been taken over and ruined by Hallmark and consumerism. There really is too much hype surrounding the holiday, putting so much pressure on people. The single people are depressed because they are alone for it, the married people are forced into romantic situations, even though they may not feel like it that night. I won’t lie, the last two Valentine’s Days I have fallen asleep pretty early. All that pressure to be romantic wears me out.
But for those of you who are celebrating today, enjoy it. Hopefully your man remembered.
