Clerks II

Posted by Gypsy on Jul 21, 2006

Hey all, a quick note to remind everyone Clerks II opened today. Get your asses out to see Kevin Smith’s newest work of art. I’ve already seen in twice (as my loyal readers already know) and am leaving in 30 minutes to head to LA and see it again. So get out there and support the one person I’m a huge fan of.

That is all.

Do blonds have more fun?

I’m not sure, but I’m going to find out. Just went all blond today. You can’t tell from the photos, but it’s totally platinum.

Reason #856 why I don’t play sports

Posted by Gypsy on Jul 14, 2006

I’ve never claimed to be a graceful person. I’m a bit of a klutz. So I do whatever I can to miss out on any sports days for PT. But unfortunately I can’t always do that and got stuck playing some volleyball.

So reason number 856 of why I don’t play sports: I break shit. This time it happens to be my left index finger. At least my first broken bone ever is my finger, something that will heal in 2 weeks.

Here you can see how swollen the knuckle is. It’s the underside of the knuckle where it’s broken:

Broken finger

If you look close, you can see the discoloration of my index finger. It looks like I cut off the circulation to my finger until it turned blue.

And he said I cause drama…

Posted by Gypsy on Jul 13, 2006

…yet I wasn’t the one who ended up with the bloody nose and a ban from the bar.

I guess this one should start from the beginning of the night. My big plan for the evening was to head to the bar, have a couple drinks with friends then head home around midnight for a decent five hours worth of sleep. (It’s now 9 a.m. and I haven’t been to sleep yet.)

The night started off innocently enough. I had a little food, had a drink and was just relaxing when drama walked its happy ass into the bar in the form of my ex-husband’s girlfriend, Mindy. A little backstory is that she was dating my friend T whenJeremy and her started fucking. T happens to be a daily fixture around this particular bar and also has a very large group of very loyal friends. By large group I mean almost everyone who goes to this bar on a regular basis. So when she walked in, there was a collective tensing up, to no one’s surprise.

A fairly neutral member of the group decided to nip the whole situation in the bud by politely asking her to leave the bar as she was clearly unwelcome there, but this female was clearly looking for drama and refused to go. Fast forward a little bit and I decide to go outside for a smoke. This female (I’m trying to be nice here) decides she’s going to use that as an opportunity to call me a bitch, starting off quite the screaming match. Through it I realize she’s so dumb as to think I’m pissed because I’m jealous when the reality is I’m pissed because she’s a disrespectful whore just out to cause drama. I finally finish my cigarette, get bored of her and go inside, where I decide I’m ready to go back to my fun. (Mind you at this point I’d only had one drink, so I wasn’t even tipsy nor did I even get tipsy the remainder of the night.)

A bit later T and I decide to go outside for a smoke. She decides, as any drama starter would, that this would be the perfect time to do the same, and heads out with her two cackling hags of friends. T can’t take it anymore and comes up to her to politely tell her to leave. Ever the drama starter, she refuses, I tell her she should go, she comes after me, I smack her in the head, she pulls my hair and then she’s pulled off me by another friend who drags her across the parking lot away from me. I guess you could say I did alright in my first fight, though it really wasn’t much of one. Again, I get bored and head inside (I have no attention span for people who aren’t worth the attention).

I get inside, the bartender rushes out to find out what’s going on and I get back to my drink. When the bartender comes back in, I apologize for the drama. She knows me, knows I’m a regular and chill with regulars. So she says it’s all good, Mindy is banned from the bar and isn’t welcome back ever due to this situation and others she’s caused in the past. I figure the bitch will leave and I can get on with my night.

So imagine my surprised when a little bit later another friend comes up to me and tells me Jeremy is in the parking lot. I, of course, can’t help my curiosity and head out there, realize it’s nothing big and go back inside until the bar closes. As usual, we all hang out outside for a bit after close. Throughout all this, Jeremy and Mindy are still on the other side of the lot, with various people coming up to them to talk about whatever. I’m keeping over on my side of the lot hanging out because I don’t want any drama. But I wasn’t going to leave until they were gone and T wasn’t going to either. So we waited.

Sure enough, those two retards decide they are going to come over to our side of the lot, which was just blatent disrespect. I mean, I know there are dumb people out there, but they knew coming over there would start drama because T was getting more and more angry by the minute. Finally, he couldn’t take it anymore and decided to ask them again to leave. Instead of acting like adults and leaving, the bitch decides to head butt T (which is where she got the bloody nose). T refuses to fight her, Jeremy gets into the fray and next thing you know is getting is his ass choked out by T. I tell my friend J to go break it up, he does so and we think all is over. But you know drama starters, they just can’t help themselves.

She goes after T and Jeremy steps back as his bitch goes off to fight (something that makes me embarassed to have ever called him my man). Someone gets on her to hold her as T walks away (because he’s not going to hit a bitch, even if she does seem to think she’s a man), but she just keeps coming after him, making a decent loop of the lot before one of her friends gets her in a choke hold on the ground to keep her from fighting. We get T away, tell her to leave and think it might be over. But of course now Jeremy can’t keep his mouth shut. He decides to mouth off to the wrong person (M, who is twice his size and a fighter by trade), and someone else decides to intervene before M kills him. By intervene, I mean starts punching Jeremy. T sees this and gets in on it. I’m screaming for J to get in there and break it up, even though not a single person there cares that he’s getting beat up because they all wish they were the ones doing it. J finally gets in there, breaks it up and I think it’s finally over. Or so I thought until I see T going back after him. Scuffle ensues before T is pulled off and finally the fighting is done.

It took all that before those two fuckers would get the idea that they aren’t welcome there and they finally leave. And what do we discover upon their leaving, and this makes me absolutely sure she was there to start shit, but a really nice knife that is her’s sitting on the patio. Who brings a knife to a bar if they aren’t planning on using it?

So he says he doesn’t want to be my friend because I cause drama? Well, this was drama his girlfriend created all on her own. And this drama got her banned from the bar, got her a bloody nose and got his ass kicked by a bunch of people who would’ve killed him if it weren’t for me getting someone to break it up. (Sidenote: many of those guys have wanted to kick his ass for weeks and haven’t because I told them not to. But he started talking shit to them and got himself fucked up all on his own.)

Now, I’m not one to say I told you so… Fuck it, I am. I told him that bitch was trouble from the start, but he just couldn’t believe it. Thought I was being a jealous ex-wife. Believe me, the last thing I want in a man is someone who is going to step back as his bitch fights. But hey, if he wants a woman who is more of a man than he is, that’s his thing. He’s welcome to the whore. At least I never have to see her while I’m out at the bar again.
