Good news, a concussion and a shout out

After working my ass off, my body finally sent me a big fuck you in the form of a migraine. But while I felt like absolute shit all of last night and part of this morning, it actually turned out great. I went to the doc and she gave me a shot of some awesome pain reliever and sent me home for the day. By the time I made it home I actually felt normal and it was great.
Of course, with things as they have been lately, even though I was finally getting a chance to rest, there was still work I had to do from home and email to the office and phone calls I had to make. Well, one of those phone calls made my day as it was to find out if I was moving or not. Turns out I get to stay here a little longer. At least until my medical evaluation board is complete. Makes me very happy as I’m not ready to move yet.
I also got to talk to my brother today. Turns out he won’t be able to go on leave before he goes to Iraq. Lucky for me, he will be coming to California to see his wife next weekend. He’s driving here with a friend and they will be passing right through Barstow on their way. So I’ll at least get to see him for lunch, which is great since I haven’t seen him in two years.
……….
My sister went and gave herself a concussion, proving by her clumsiness that she is indeed my sister. She plays for the school soccer team and is an amazing goalie. Unfortunately, her goal tending talent didn’t help her too much when she fell on her head the other day during a game and now she’s laid up at home with a concussion and can’t play for a week. Though I know my sister very well and I doubt hitting her head hurt anything. ;)
……….
Today is my dad’s birthday, so HAPPY BIRTHDAY DADDY!!!!!!!
I won’t tell you how old he is, but not because he’s old but because I honestly can’t remember. (Sorry, Dad.)

“Turns out he *won’t* be able to go…” Might want to fix the typo sis. I’m glad that I’ll get a chance to see you before I leave. I wish it could have been longer, but I guess lunch will just have to do. Unfortunatly, I won’t be able to go see mom dad and Sam, but hopefully they know that I think of them everyday, and I will definatly see them come mid-tour time. See you Saturday.
Love you,
Jack
What typo are you talking about? It’s right. You are just retarded.
When I saw the concussion thing on the bulliten on MS, I thought you fell and hurt yourself…… Again.
Just so you know, your father is 49 (getting ready to hit the big “50″. Give your brother a big hug and kiss from me.
