After doing a lot of research and talking it over with Andy, I’ve decided to go back to work. At the moment, money isn’t really an issue, but it will become one once he returns from Iraq. On top of that, I need to do something that gets me out of the house a little more. The thing we had to consider when discussing this, though, is that I do go to school full-time and would need to find work that would allow me to essentially make my own hours and to allow me to work primarily from home. Lucky for me, the perfect job has come along.

That is why I’ve decided to become a Tastefully Simple consultant. My mom had a Tastefully Simple party the other day and as I discussed it with her consultant, it began to sound like the perfect fit for me. I can make my own hours, work as much or as little as I want, and get myself a discount on the food and spices I’ve come to love. And on top of it, I can be my own boss and run my business the way I’d like to. Perfect fit for me.

Now that I’ve made the decision to go for it, I have to put that into motion. My first step is finding people to host parties, either the in-home ones or catalog parties. Luckily it’s a win-win situation for the host and myself. Anyone who hosts a party gets a lot of great stuff and even some free stuff based on how many orders she has and I get to earn a little money. So if anyone wants to help me out and host a party, I’m here to help. I know a lot of you live pretty far away from me, but if you want to host a catalog party, we can do that. Beyond that, I do tend to travel a lot, so if I’m in your neighborhood, I can even do a party for you while I’m in town.

I know this is very self-promoting and sounds like a sales pitch, but I really just wanted to share how excited I am to finally have a way to bring in some money of my own and wanted to offer everyone the chance to be a part of that. And the food’s great.
