Why it’s a good thing we don’t want children…

Posted by Gypsy on Dec 17, 2008

(said while patting Andy on the head) “duck duck goose”

“What the hell is duck duck goose? It’s duck duck greyduck.”

“What the fuck is duck duck greyduck? Everyone says goose”

(this goes back and forth for about 2 minutes)

(while pulling out his computer) “It’s greyduck and I’ll prove it”

“By checking on the Internet?”

(Googling ensues - leading to this)

(me, laughing uncontrollably) “Apparently the only people who say greyduck are people from Minnesota”

cue ten minutes of me laughing my ass off and Andy pouting.

Andy:

HEY! just because Us Minnesotans say Grey Duck doesnt make us any different! I now know that 90% of the civilized world play Duck duck goose, and 90% of the population also listens to shitty music like Britney Spears, think that Dockers are actually fashionable, and like to watch T.V. shows starring David Hasselhoff.

“Duck, Duck, Goose” may be fine for all those people who are living in other states. But in Minnesota where everything makes sense, its fucking “Duck, Duck, GRAY DUCK”!

Considering you can’t spend more than 60 seconds outside without freezing your nuts off for about 8 months of the year and people still live there, I think it’s safe to say people from Minnesota are a) not very bright or b) clearly know nothing about making sense.

Nice try, though, dear.

Andrew….. I know your British, but you obviously missed out on a very important child hood step, Duck Duck Grey Duck is a very important childhood bonding activity…. that would explain a whole hell of a lot though……

I thought we already established that it’s duck duck goose.

Andrew, you definitely missed out on an important part of childhood fun if you don’t know what this game is. I’ll teach you when you come to visit.

I know the game concept and played it many times as a child. Although I can’t recall what we called it; the issue here is the silly names yous guys give your childhood games ;)

andrew, it’s very simple, the names we give our games are all self-explanitory i.e. Duck duck grey duck, hide and seek, kick the can, hop scotch, and tic tac toe for a few, title explains action….. It’s a very simple concept…. ;-)

Andy - I can just visualise you playing hop scotch :)

December 24th, 2008 | 10:41 pm

I think that would make the best game of duck duck goose ever. Though I’m the one who would probably get hurt.
