Killing time… and pieces of paper

Armed with a Springfield Armory XD .40 and a Taurus 24/7 .45, Andy, Charles and I hit up the shooting range the other day for a fun-filled afternoon of shooting and pieces of paper. We shot at paper targets, blew off some steam and damaged out ears a little bit; but overall it was pretty fun. The guys switched off shooting both guns because they are men and playing with guns is what they do.
As for me, I stuck to shooting Andy’s XD .40. For someone my size, that gun has a lot of recoil that can be hard to control and I’m not ashamed to admit that the .45 was just going to be a little too much for me. But I did hold my own fairly well with the .40. Including getting the paper guy a couple times in the face, once in the throat and a whole bunch of chest shots. If I were shooting something a little smaller with less kick, I would’ve done much better. By my weak arms can only handle so much. Ignore the nerdy looking glasses. It’s a safety thing, though they look absolutely ridiculous.
Ultimately, the guys were a little bummed because they each had rifles they wanted to shoot as well, but the range we were at doesn’t allow them. So instead they chose to show how badass they can be by shooting one-handed.
Unfortunately, there are no photos of Andy as he was the one taking them all. Yes, Charles and I are assholes. We’ll make it up to him.
Baby, Its ok that we didnt shoot any pics of me firing, I literally have thousands of pics of me with hundreds of weapons in my hands. I forgive you, there will always be another day of firing…… I’m glad you had fun. I just wish you would have tried that .45, it was “Better than my baby” That first pic is amazing, My baby firing my Baby. I need to come up with something better for you. still a work in progress ;-)
Yeah that was a funtimes with ferenchak lol. Hey mabye next time you can shoot the mossberg 500 shotgun yeah! or andy’s 7.62 rifle. Oh and were going to coldstone again lol hahaha!
Christina, There is seriously nothing sexier than you holding my pistol ;-)

Andrew, I know your British, but if you wanna go shooting this summer with us, I’d be more than happy to take you to the range ;-)
Andy - that sounds like it could be fun.
I’d even teach you something, it is possible for old dogs to learn new tricks…. (I had to, and I refuse to appologize) ;-)

Andy, you’ll probably have to speak really slowly for me and be prepared to go over the instructions several times before I start to pick it up ;)
I would try to make you feel better by saying you looked hot in the pics too, but there are non of you (I think thats just attention seeking on Christina’s part), so i’ll just imagine how hot you look with a gun instead.
Can’t wait to sees you guys - will be booking flights over next couple of weeks, so will let you know details when I do.

Drena, it’ll never happen. I love Christina too much to fall for a Brit. A Brit with nice teeth maybe, but hes still a Brit…
Andrew, I will teach you, its ok I am used to dealing with slower people than I am. and you will learn lots, if theres something I can do its shoot, and I can teach someone to shoot better than I can…..
Christina, there will be no “girl time” there is time to shoot yes, and Drena can come with too. Ill talk to some people and see if I can get another piece or two.

There will be girl time. Especially now that you’ve told me no. In fact, I think we’ll have girl time while you boys are shooting.
yep…thats a dead target.We dont even use those anymore.We use Q targets they look like light blue with a white bowling pin shape for the area to shoot into.Its what the FBI uses and what our department uses for about 5 years.
The range we went to had a variety of options to choose from. I kinda want to try the one that has a bad guy hiding behind a civilian so I can see how many times I can get just the bad guy.
