Back in black

After a year of changing my hair color from brown to pink to blue to purple to blond, I’m finally ending the year the same way it started. With black hair. I don’t know why I ever go blond when dark colors always look best.
Favorite color: Tiffany blue

So during my awesome weekend in New York City (blog posts to come), I took a trip to Tiffany and Co. For anyone who isn’t a girl, Tiffany and Co. is a very famous jewelry store that is a might bit expensive. I like to go in there as much as possible and drool over the pretty stuff that I can’t afford. Sometimes, I even drool over the stuff I can afford. This trip, I decided to buy one of those things. It’s nothing big, just a silver ring with a round peridot set in it, but I think it’s really pretty. And of course, the packaging was almost as pretty as the ring, with it’s pretty Tiffany blue box tied with white ribbon and in the Tiffany blue bag. It’s a girl’s wet dream.
And without further ado, the unboxing:
Kinda teared up from this one

I’m foregoing my project update today to bring you this post by Jon Armstrong on this blog Blurbomat. It’s just an amazing read and I think people need to see it. So check it out. It’s a little long but totally worth it.
How you like them apples?

Earlier this year, Apple announced the much anticipated iPhone. For a total Mac-geek like myself, the excitement was overwhelming especially since it was about time for me to get a new phone anyway. Then they announced the price. $600. For someone who had no job and barely any savings left, it was way too far out of my budget, so instead I spent the $300 I had saved on a Blackberry Pearl. Figuring Apple would drop the iPhone price in a year or so, at the same time I switched to AT&T so I’d be ready come price-drop time. This was just days before the iPhone was released.
Who would’ve thought the price would drop a mere two months later. Or that it would drop so drastically.
Yep, just this morning, Steve Jobs announced a $200 drop in the price of the iPhone, making it $400. I could’ve easily saved the last $100 I would’ve needed in the last two months. Kicking myself in the ass? Why yes I am.
A bunch of other stuff was also announced this morning, most notably the iPod Touch, which is essentially an iPhone without phone capabilities. It even has wi-fi. So I’m making this announcement: For Christmas and my birthday (a mere three weeks after Christmas), all I want are Apple Store gift cards. Maybe if I get enough I can get one or the other.
Oh yeah, peep here to see what else is new.
